must preserve.

The quality of one sentence begins with the responsibilities around it.

CURRENT STATE / PROTOTYPE

One direction. Open alternatives.

The project pursues one carefully reviewed question. No candidate is currently adopted. A clear pursuit does not establish the right to represent humanity.

An original is never a draft of its summary.

Original words, context, needs, and permitted uses remain distinct from interpretations. A source link proves traceability; it does not prove that the source’s meaning survived.

Loss is part of the result.

Preserved, transformed, omitted, and contested needs must remain visible. Compression can be declined. Unresolved questions deserve a place in the archive.

A role is a responsibility.

The six roles define an accountable review process. They are not running agents in this prototype. Several roles using the same model would not establish independent agreement.

Authorization has a scope.

Saving a question in this browser does not authorize publishing, model training, external model calls, or future delivery. A future shared archive will need its own explicit permission system.

An answer must return to a need.

The project must distinguish delivery, receipt, comprehension, and response. An answer’s factual accuracy, a person’s satisfaction, and coverage of a need are separate questions.

The public Atlas currently contains 240 AI-written examples and no verified participant submissions. They do not represent a population, a language community, a child, an animal, or a future person.

COLLECTION GAP

No participant recruitment or representative sampling has taken place.

KNOWLEDGE LIMIT

Unrecorded lives and nonhuman experience cannot be recovered by generating plausible words.

DESIGN CHOICE

Missing perspectives stay visible. Invented examples never count as evidence that a gap has been filled.

One question is the pursuit.
Accountability is the method.
